Our Story
London is alive with creators who care deeply about what great hospitality really means. They’re tucked away in pretty much every corner of the capital, and chances are you don’t even know they’re there.
The Market Network started in 2021 with the launch of Wapping Market, although our founder William had already spent years working in London’s food markets by then, starting as a cheesemonger at fifteen.
Wapping was built around a simple idea. Bring together great independent food businesses and create somewhere people genuinely wanted to spend their Saturday. It worked, and over the following years we launched more markets and built a network of some of London’s most interesting independent hospitality businesses.
Today, Wapping still runs every Saturday, but The Market Network has grown beyond the market. We now bring people from our Network into workplaces, venues and events across London, creating new opportunities for them and giving our clients access to hospitality talent they would be unlikely to find through the usual channels.
The market keeps us close to what’s emerging. The wider Network gives that talent more places to go.

William founded The Market Network in 2020 with a simple ambition: create better routes to market for grassroots hospitality talent. Since then, he has spent his time building markets, curating memorable hospitality experiences and uncovering exceptional entrepreneurs from across London.
His role centres on building relationships, connecting great people with new opportunities, and ensuring every experience delivered through The Market Network reflects the quality of the businesses it represents. Whether working with traders, corporate clients or partners, the focus is always the same, opening more doors for the Network, for independent hospitality talent, and providing our guests and clients a chance to experience the talent behind it firsthand.

Fabiana Cunha
Fabi keeps the markets moving, the traders happy and the inevitable Saturday chaos firmly under control. As Market Manager, she’s the person making sure everything comes together on the ground, from coordinating traders and solving problems to keeping the market looking great and running as it should.
She brings plenty of humour to the job, an impressive ability to stay calm when several things need fixing at once, and fortunately just so happens to be mad enough to work outside in British weather. Rain, wind or the occasional miraculous bit of sunshine, Fabi is there making sure traders are supported, customers are happy and the market feels like somewhere you actually want to spend your Saturday.
